    NEW YORK – Twice in the last five years Kim Clijsters has beaten Venus Williams on her way to winning the U.S. Open title.

    If Williams is to reach her first Open final since 2002, she will have to end Clijsters’s 19-match winning streak in Flushing Meadows during Friday’s semifinals.
