    PISCATAWAY, N.J. – As Tom Savage stood encircled by more than 20 reporters in the Rutgers football locker room early Saturday night, it was clear that his bruised ribs weren’t the only thing bothering him.

    His heart and pride took a beating after he threw a critical fourth-quarter interception in a 17-13 home loss to North Carolina before 52,038.

    And he wasn’t too happy with his footwork, either.
