  • Tulane-Rutgers Could Feature Battle of Injured QBs

    When Tulane visits Rutgers on Saturday, fans could be treated to a battle of injured quarterbacks….or a battle of backups.

    Ryan Griffin, Tulane’s starter, suffered a sprained left shoulder in last week’s 42-23 loss to Houston, but is expected to start for the Rutgers’ Homecoming game (ESPN3, 2 p.m.)

    “Griffin is going to start at quarterback,” Tulane coach Bob Toledo said in his weekly press conference. “Griffin will start.”

    Rutgers starter Tom Savage endured bruised ribs in last Saturday’s 17-13 loss to North Carolina and was limited in practice Tuesday.
