Yesterday I spent the morning with Denise Richards and the evening with Minka Kelly.
And I even had my wife’s full blessing.
I began the day by joining Fox’s Duke Castiglione on “Good Day New York” to preview the Knicks and Nets and talk a little NBA.
Before my segment, Richards was on to promote her show, “Blue Mountain State.”
Mostly, though, she declined to talk about the news swirling around her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, who had a sloppy, coke-fueled encounter with porn star Capri Anderson Monday night at the Plaza hotel.
Poor Richards was there to promote her show and she had to end up talking about Sheen’s antics. Mostly how it was a “private” matter and one she didn’t want her “girls,” Sam and Lola, to know about.
The latest news on this front is that Anderson wants to have Sheen’s Colorado parole revoked.
Esquire editor David Granger, a tennis buddy of mine (he’s got one of the biggest serves you’ll ever see), managed to wrangle me an invite to Esquire’s “Minka Kelly – Sexiest Woman Alive event” last night at 29th and Park.
There were a lot of young media planners and some tasty drinks, including some kind of Patron/pomegranate juice combo that was especially good.
Often when you see a famous person in the flesh they don’t quite match up to what you imagined. But I’m here to tell you that Minka looked tremendous in person.
One of her friends whom I met by chance told me that Kelly and Derek Jeter are not engaged, but are just dating.
I wish I could give you the details about how I partied late into the night with Minka and her pals drinking Patron and pomegranate juice, but then, of course, I’d have to kill you.
