    PISCATAWAY, N.J. – There were times during his team’s 68-53 victory over Fairfield Monday night when the sound of Mike Rice bellowing out instructions to his players was the loudest sound inside the Rutgers Athletic Center.

    If reporters had been asked to transcribe his comments from the press box 40 feet above the floor, it wouldn’t have been a problem.

    That is both good and bad news for the state of the Scarlet Knights.
