GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Knicks president Donnie Walsh wasn’t sure where LeBron James would land after the team made a two-hour presentation to the King and his entourage July 1 in Cleveland.

“Look, you never know,” Walsh said on the eve of LeBron’s return to New York for the first time since his “Decision” to play with the Miami Heat. “I didn’t know. Four days after the LeBron meeting but before his July 8 announcement, Amar’e Stoudemire committed to the Knicks and announced to the world, “The Knicks are back.”
