DeAndre Daniels has shifted his visit to Texas to after Christmas from before the holiday.
“They never went to Texas,” IMG Academy coach Andy Borman said by phone. “That doesn’t mean they’re not going. They rescheduled the visit for after Christmas. It just works better for their schedules.”
Borman wasn’t certain of the exact dates but said Daniels and his father could visit Texas either Dec. 27-28 or 28-29. Daniels was originally slated to visit Dec. 19-20.
“They are still ironing out the ticket and what works best for both parties involved,” Borman said.
The 6-foot-9 Daniels is still considering Kentucky, Kansas, Oregon and Texas as his top four and could pull the trigger after the Texas visit.
It remains unclear whether Daniels would take a fifth official, perhaps to N.C. State or another school, and it’s also unclear if he’ll enroll in a college in January.
“His top four is the same,” Borman said. “He’s still just trying to make up his mind for what’s best for DeAndre and everybody.”
