    ·         All three Big East games on Tuesday were decided by four points or less, as Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and West Virginia all picked-up conference wins.

    ·         No. 23 Louisville is the final Big East team to begin conference play as the Cardinals host Seton Hall tonight at 7 p.m. ET on ESPNU. The game will match Seton Hall head coach Kevin Willard against his father, Ralph Willard, who is the Director of Basketball Operations for Louisville.

    ·         Marquette plays its first Big East road game as the Golden Eagles visit Rutgers at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN3.com.

    ·         The home team has won 13 of the first 17 games in Big East play. However, two road teams won on Tuesday night including Pittsburgh (at Providence) and West Virginia (at DePaul).

    ·         The Big East has two of the seven remaining undefeated teams in Division I men’s basketball. Syracuse (15-0) and Cincinnati (14-0) join Duke, Kansas, Ohio State, Central Florida and San Diego State as the only teams without a loss this season.

    ·         There are eight teams nationally that have one loss, including two Big East teams (Pittsburgh is 14-1 and Villanova is 12-1). Of the 14 teams nationally that are either undefeated or have one loss, four are in the BIG EAST.
