PHILLY — In this exclusive interview with SNY.tv, St. John’s rising freshman Norvel Pelle talks about his summer plans and future goals.

The 6-foot-10 Pelle is taking a six-week program at the Rise Academy here at Philadelphia University and expects to be fully qualified at the end. St. John’s does not offer summer high school classes, thus his presence here.

A native of Compton, Calif., Pelle is one of nine incoming players for head coach Steve Lavin, whose team lost in the first round of the NCAAs last year.

“Hopefully, we will be back at the NCAA Tournament next year,” he said.
