  • NEW YORK — Naofall Folahan says he’s ready for Andre Drummond.

Who’s Naofall Folahan, you may ask.

    Good question.

He’s the cheerful, optimistic 6-foot-11 sophomore center at Wagner College originally from the African Republic of Benin.

You can check him and his teammates out Monday night when they face Drummond and defending national champion UConn on SNY (7:30).

Dan Hurley’s upstart Wagner club should enter the game with some momentum after winning at Princeton, 73-57, Saturday to end the Tigers’ 16-game home winning streak.

NEWARK — One game into the post-Jeremy Hazell Era at Seton Hall and three things are clear.

One, Jordan Theodore has some Big Cojones.

Two, Herb Pope looks like a new man.

And three, Seton Hall desperately needs a third scorer.

“[Theodore] said he wanted the ball at the end of the game so we gave him the ball,” Pirates coach Kevin Willard said after Theodore scored nine of his career-high 25 points in overtime as Seton Hall escaped with a 75-71 victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) in their season-opener.

Jarnell Stokes may join the list of elite 2012 players who will sign late.

“Well, I don’t plan on signing early, but then again I may sign early,” the 6-foot-8 Stokes told theĀ Shawn & Wally radio program out of Central Arkansas this past week.

Stokes is considering Memphis, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida and Kentucky.

“I haven’t narrowed it down at all,” he said. “I like all the schools equally. It’s pros and cons to every school.”

Prodded by the radio hosts, he repeatedly said he liked Arkansas very much during his visit there, even mentioning that his mother believes he will end up going there.
