Seton Hall freshman Brandon Mobley was medically cleared to resume normal basketball activities and will be available for the Pirates in their game vs. Mercer on Sunday.

“We’re very happy to have Brandon back and that added depth in our frontcourt,” said head coach Kevin Willard.  “Our medical staff, headed by Dr. Anthony Festa and team trainer Tony Testa, has done a remarkable job in rehabilitating Brandon and getting him ready for court action.  We truly have some of the best medical personnel in the Big East.”

Mobley dislocated his right shoulder, which tore his labrum, while playing in the New Jersey Shore League this past summer, which has delayed the start to his collegiate career.

A 6-foot-9 forward, Mobley averaged 20 points, eight rebounds and three blocks per game in his lone year at St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy in Wisconsin.

The Pirates will return to action on Sunday when they host Mercer at the Prudential Center.
