On Monday night at the City Winery, I saw a variety of artists cover songs by The Rolling Stones for tonight’s event at Carnegie Hall — “The Music of the Rolling Stones: Hot Rocks 1964-71.”

Among the best performances were Taj and Diva Mahal doing “Honky Tonk Women” and Juliette Lewis — Yes, that Juliette Lewis — doing “Satisfaction” and “Proud Mary.” Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes was also on hand and did several songs with Lenny Kaye and the house band, “The Symphony for the Devils.”
