  • D’Angelo Russell, a 6-foot-4 2014 shooting guard from Montverde (Fla.) Academy, will visit Cincinnati tomorrow (Thursday) and Kentucky next week.

    “Yes, sir,” Russell, a Louisville native, told SNY.tv Thursday by phone after the news was previously reported by Scout.com. “I’m going up there [to Cincinnati] early tomorrow and then I’m coming back probably later in the day.”

    Russell confessed he doesn’t know much about Cincinnati yet.

    Before he steps foot on a series of national campuses, Noah Vonleh wants to get to know the local folks first.

    So the 6-foot-8 2014 power forward out of New Hampton (N.H.) Prep is currently on a tour of New England schools.

    He visited Providence Tuesday, comes to UMass today (Wednesday) and heads to Boston College Saturday.

    UConn is on tap for sometime next week.

    “I think we might be going down there next week,” Vonleh told SNY.tv of UConn,

    Tyus Jones has no official school list yet but the 2014 point guard told SNY.tv several schools are working very hard right now.

    “Michigan State, Ohio  State, Minnesota, Baylor, Indiana, Duke, Arizona, those are kind of the ones that are showing the most interest,” the 6-foot-1 Jones said from the USA U17 practices in Colorado Springs, Colo.

    He said Duke, Michigan State, Kentucky, Kansas, Baylor, Indiana, Ohio State, Minnesota and Nebraska all reached out after midnight

    Julius Randle scored 15 points as the USA U18 team beat Argentina, 107-72,  to advance to the FIBA Americas U18 Championship for Men gold medal game.
