Reggie Cameron, one of the top small forwards in the Class of 2013 out of Hudson (N.J.) Catholic, will be contributing periodically to ZAGSBLOG entering his senior season. Here’s his fourth entry:
What’s up, everybody?
Hope that everyone’s summer has been going great so far because I know I can’t complain about mine.
Here is a little run down of my summer.
As far as camps went I was truly blessed to be able to attend the best in the country. I went to the Kevin Durant Skills Academy along with about 30 of the other best wing players in the country. It was a great experience learning from the staff and playing against the best at my position.
My next stop was to the Lebron James Skills Academy where 80 of the nation’s top players were invited so it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Every game was competitive and fun. Also back at the hotel you could find me and my bros Billy Garrett and Wayne Selden at the ping pong table playing as if we were training for the Olympics!
My AAU career came to an end in July at the Nike Peach Jam and the “Live in AC” event. But it was one heck of a ride and I couldn’t have possibly wanted to share it with anyone else but my teammates and coaches from the Playaz Basketball Club.
So now I’m just working out to prepare for my senior season and trying to win a [New Jersey] TOC championship at Hudson Catholic. Recently I played in an All Star game with my PG Kavon Stewart and my dude Hallice Cooke. It was cool finally getting to play with Hallice for once.
Congrats to my bro Mike Young on his commitment to Pittsburgh! (BBG!)
