  • NEW YORK — Khadeem Lattin is headed home to Houston.

The 6-foot-9 Houston native is expected to enroll at his former school, Westbury Christian, instead of returning to the Canarias Basketball Academy, his mother, former WNBA player Monica Lamb, told SNY.tv Saturday night at the Big Strick Classic at City College of New York.

Lamb said she would know for certain Wednesday where her son would end up. She also said her son would not reclassify to 2013 and would remain in the Class of 2014.

NEW YORK — Three schools are almost certain to make Jordan Mickey’s final list of five or six schools, his father told SNY.tv Saturday night.

“Ohio State definitely is in; Louisville and SMU are definitely making the cut,” James Wright Mickey said at the Big Strick Classic before his son went for 13 rebounds, 5 points, 4 blocks and 2 assists as the USA team beat the NYC team, 87-86, at the City College of New York.

Khadeem Lattin (13 points, 8 rebounds) and Robert Hubbs (14 points) were named Co-MVPs for the USA team.

NEW YORK — Kuran Iverson says Florida may be the “best choice” for him as he heads toward a college decision in the near future.

“Florida’s showing me a lot of love. I think that might be the best choice,” the 6-foot-9 Iverson told SNY.tv exclusively after being named Co-MVP of the NYC squad following a 20-point, 5-rebound, 4-dunk performance as the USA team beat the NYC team, 87-86, Saturday night in the Big Strick Classic at City College of New York.

Jordan Goodman, a 6-foot-9 forward with prodigious talent who has decommitted from three colleges, is considering going overseas to play professionally instead of attending junior college, a source with direct knowledge told SNY.tv.

“He and his father are seriously considering some of the offers that have been extended to them, including club teams in Spain, Belgium and France,” the source said.

“He could make a decision to go to Europe as soon as September.”

Former Penn State commit Brandon Austin is back on the market and ready to take some visits.

The 6-foot-6, 175-pound small forward out of Philly Imhotep Charter will take an unofficial to Temple Monday, his AAU coach, Lonnie Lowry, told SNY.tv Friday evening.

After that, Austin will unofficially visit Georgetown (Aug. 23) and Providence (no date set).

“And he will take an official to UCLA once school starts,” Lowry said. “We’re just trying to get the dates right.”

NEW YORK — Count Robert Hubbs among those impressed with Coach K’s ability to recruit and coach Team USA at the same time.

“Yes, he texted me [Thursday], said they had two more wins to go to get the gold and I said good luck to him,” the 6-foot-5 Hubbs, a shooting guard out of Dyer County (Tenn.), told SNY.tv in the above video interview Friday at the Gauchos Gym in anticipation of Saturday’s Big Strick Classic.

NEW YORK — Chris McCullough will lead the NYC team on Saturday night in the Big Strick Classic at City College.

After that, the 6-foot-10 McCullough has several unofficial visits lined up.

He will trip to Seton Hall Sunday before taking visits to Memphis Aug. 27 and Syracuse Aug. 29.

A rising junior, McCullough is also planning an upcoming visit to West Virginia, but no date has been set.
