Quadri Moore was invited to Midnight Madness at both Seton Hall and Rutgers this past weekend.
Instead of choosing one over the other, the 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward from Linden (N.J.) High visited both schools.
“[Rutgers] just asked me to come up for their Midnight Madness and I was going to go to both but I decided to go to Seton Hall,” Moore, a junior, told SNY.tv Monday. “And then I decided to go to Rutgers the next day.”
At Seton Hall, Moore attended Midnight Madness with official visitors Austin Colbert, Jevon Thomas and Jerron Wilbut, as well as several unofficial visitors.
“It was good,” he said. “I watched them practice.”
The next day, Moore saw the No. 20 Rutgers football team beat Syracuse, 23-15, to remain unbeaten at 6-0.
“We watched the football game and I talked to the head coach,” Moore said. “I watched a little bit of their [basketball] practice.”
Moore said he holds offers from Rutgers, Seton Hall, Miami, Providence, Cincinnati and St. Joe’s.
He said he isn’t sure if he will take other visits this fall and wants to continue to improve his perimeter defense by “moving my feet more.”
