Chinonso Obokoh to Syracuse
Chinonso Obokoh, a 6-foot-10, 220-pound center from Rochester Bishop Kearney, has committed to Syracuse, according to multiple reports.
His commitment follows his visit to Syracuse this past weekend for Midnight Madness.
“He is already a top five post defender in his class,” Jim Hart, Obokoh’s coach with the Albany City Rocks, told SNY.tv. “He has underrated skills as a shooter and ball-handler. He runs the floor hard for 32 minutes and gives 110 percent.”
A native of Nigeria, Obokoh also considered James Madison, Villanova, Temple, and Texas, said Hart, whose program also produced current Syracuse freshman big man DaJuan Coleman.
