DeAndre Bembry, one of the top small forwards in the Class of 2013 out of Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick, will be contributing periodically to ZAGSBLOG during his senior season. Here’s his second entry:

    Hey, what’s up world?

Sorry I couldn’t get to you guys sooner, but I was a little busy. This past summer was my last time playing AAU basketball. It was a good one for myself and Sports U.

It was a fun summer with the coaching staff and most of all being able to play with talent from all over New Jersey.

This summer I grabbed a bunch of offers from Temple, St. Joe’s, Miami, URI,  Providence, Rutgers, USC, Boston College and a few others. Saying that, you can see I had a pretty good summer.

As far as getting closer to the school I want to commit to, I have already had an official visit to Temple U. My next visit will be St. Joe’s very soon (Thursday).

After St. Joe’s I may take another official visit, but for now Temple and St. Joe’s are definitely on my final top three.

I will be committing to a school before my high school season starts.
