  • NEW YORK — It appears the Knicks won’t unveil Amar’e Stoudemire at any point during their upcoming three-game West Coast swing, but Marcus Camby vows to return on Christmas.

“No, I don’t think he will be available [on the trip],” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said of Stoudemire ahead of Sunday’s game against the T-Wolves.

“He’s just not ready to go. I don’t foresee that. I just don’t.”

Camby, however, told reporters he would be available against the Lakers on Tuesday.

Ronnie Brewer has been a virtual non-factor offensively for the Knicks, but Carmelo Anthony still has faith in him.

“(Melo) has been great,” Brewer said Saturday ahead of today’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at MSG.

“The game looks so easy for him, the big scoring nights that he has, and it’s been a positive note for me that he is still in my corner, still backing me and just telling me to play with a lot of confidence.

“Everybody knows what I can do on defense, to be solid on defense, but he wants me to be a threat on offense, shoot the ball and shoot it with confidence.”

BROOKLYN — Hofstra lost more than 28 points per game Nov. 29, when four players were arrested for a series of dorm room thefts on the Hempstead campus.

But the player the Pride is missing the most this year was sitting on the bench in sweats Saturday afternoon, when a tie game at halftime turned into an 83-62 loss to Tulane at Barclays Center.

Jamal Coombs-McDaniel accompanied the Pride to Brooklyn one day after SNY.tv first reported he’d miss the rest of the season because of ongoing knee problems.

NEW YORK — Temple senior guard Khalif Wyatt will never play in a Big East Tournament in Madison Square Garden.

But he wishes he could get the chance.

“Oh, yeah, I mean I would love to, but my time is up,” Wyatt told SNY.tv exclusively following his career-high 33-point outburst as Temple stunned No. 3 Syracuse, 83-79, in the Chevrolet Gotham Classic at the Garden.

BROOKLYN — Hofstra athletic director Jeff Hathaway expressed surprise when informed Tulane, which defeated the Pride 83-62 at Barclays Center Saturday afternoon, is one of six Hofstra opponents this season that have announced plans to leave their current conference at some point in the next two years.

“There’s plenty of time left,” Hathaway said with a laugh.

Where Tulane will be at the end of this season—never mind the summer of 2014, when the Green Wave’s athletic programs are supposed to shift from Conference USA to the Big East—is anybody’s guess.
