Dwayne Morgan of Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances is one of the top small forwards in the Class of 2014 and is set to announce his college choice March 27. He will be contributing periodically to ZAGSBLOG during his junior season. Here’s his second entry: Wassup, world? Dwayne Morgan checking in and I will be doing a second blog focusing on my commitment date March 27 and the end of my junior year. This past weekend our team went into the Alhambra Catholic Invitational and won first place in the consolation bracket after losing our first game to Benedictine Prep. This was a great experience for me and even though the season has just ended I can’t wait for the next chance I get to lead my high school team back to the tournament next year. This past weekend made me realize that basketball is a humbling game. I signed numerous autographs and shook numerous hands with people who look up to me. This experience has just made me want to work harder to continue to make a positive impact on someone’s life. Counting down to the days of my commitment I’ve been doing a lot of research and been talking a lot of things over with with my mom. I have to say this is gonna be a tough decision for me. By far the most important decision I’ve had to make in my high school career. And as expected all three schools have greatly stepped up their recruiting. At first UNLV was leading the way, but Maryland and Georgetown have made a great jump and evened the playing field out greatly. These next couple of days are gonna be key on my commitment.
Was just checking in with y’all here on ZAGSBLOG. Ill check in with y’all next week on March 27th.
