  • Amar’e Stoudemire may not see a minute of action against the Celtics, but he’s guaranteeing a series victory anyway.

“We’re going to win that first round for sure,” Stoudemire told Jared Zwerling of ESPNNewYork.com on Thursday night in New York City during a screening of his upcoming EPIX documentary, “Amar’e Stoudemire: In The Moment,” which premieres Friday.

“Obviously, as we all know, with the Celtics, you can never underestimate those guys. We’ve got to definitely come to play every game, and bring that focus and determination every single night. I have high confidence in what we can do.”

Karl Towns Jr. is rooming with Andrew Wiggins at the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Ore., but don’t expect the New Jersey native to recruit the Canadian hard to Kentucky.

“I haven’t talked to him about Kentucky at all,” Towns Jr. told Larry Vaught. “He has so much talent, but we are good friends. I just wish him the best for any school he picks. I want to let him enjoy the time here and just be friends and talk basketball and play video games. Stuff like that.”

Wiggins is the top prospect in the Class of 2013 and the projected No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, so even if he picks Kentucky, he and Towns Jr. will likely never share the court together.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — The playoff statistics on Carmelo Anthony are well documented.

Nine postseason appearances, eight first-round exits.

One trip to the Western Conference Finals.

And in some of those first-round exits, the Denver Nuggets had the homecourt advantage.

But that was then, and this is now, and Anthony believes this Knicks’ team is destined to accomplish something special in this postseason.

“I really don’t know what’s going to happen in the next 8 to 10 years or something like that but as of right now I feel like the team that we have, that I have right now, we have a shot to do something special,” Anthony said Thursday after practice ahead of Saturday’s Game 1 against the Celtics at Madison Square Garden.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. Tyson Chandler says he’s “100 percent” physically ready for the playoffs and will welcome a series with the Boston Celtics that is expected to be physical.

“Right now I feel great, I feel 100 percent, honestly,” Chandler said after practicing Thursday in anticipation of Game 1 Saturday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.

“This is the best I’ve felt in a long time. This is the best I’ve felt since I got hurt in Denver.  To be back right now at this time heading into the playoffs, it’s great for me.”

Villanova guard Tony Chennault is transferring. Again.

The Philadelphia native played his first two seasons at Wake Forest before transferring to Villanova prior to the 2012-13 academic year.

“We are going to miss Tony,” said Villanova head coach Jay Wright. “He was a major part of our run to the NCAA Tournament last season. We respect Tony’s decision and he will always be a part of the Nova Nation.”

Chennault appeared in all 34 games Villanova played in 2012-13 as a

Jerome Seagears will definitely leave Rutgers regardless of whether Eddie Jordan becomes the next coach and has set several visits already, his coach told SNY.tv Thursday.

“He’s moving on, he needs a fresh start,” Darrick Bond, head coach at Flora MacDonald Academy, said by phone. “Either you’re all in or you’re all out with Coach Jordan’s program and he needs a fresh start without the stigma [of the Mike Rice firing] following him.”

The 6-foot-1 native of Silver Springs, MD, averaged 6.5 points and 2.6 assists.

Seagears will visit Auburn beginning Friday, will then trip to Arkansas the weekend of April 26 and West Virginia the weekend of May 3.
