  • The Orlando Magic and New Orleans Hornets would both strongly consider trading the rights to the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft, according to SheridanHoops.com.

“Sources around the NBA have told SheridanHoops that if the Orlando Magic or New Orleans Hornets win the lottery, they both would be strongly inclined to trade the pick to whichever fellow lottery team wants to pay the most for the right to draft Nerlens Noel.

“The caveat for Orlando is that it does not want to lose out on Ben McLemore of Kansas, whom it

PIKEVILLE, KY. — Canadian talent Ray Kasongo is on the move and he hopes his game — and his recruiting profile — will benefit as a result.

The 6-foot-8, 240-pound forward plans to play the 2013-2014 high school basketball season at St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield, WI.

Kasongo — part of a new wave of Canadian talent playing South of the border — has played the past two seasons in the Appalachians of Eastern Kentucky. In 2011-2012, he played at East Ridge High School (Lick Creek, KY), and this past year, he was just 30 miles down the road at district rival Pikeville (KY) High School.

NEW YORK — In the aftermath of the Knicks’ Game 5 loss to the Celtics, things got a little chippy at Madison Square Garden.

As the two teams went through the handshake line, Jordan Crawford appeared to mouth some words about Carmelo Anthony’s wife as shown in the above video.

Anthony did not respond, but Raymond Felton had to be held back by Terrence Williams.

“Oh, I’m not thinking about no Jordan Crawford, not at this point in time, I’ll tell you that much,” Anthony said after the 92-86 loss that forced a Game 6 Friday night in Boston.

Eddie Jordan continues to add players as he rebuilds the Rutgers roster.

Jordan on Wednesday landed a pledge from 6-foot-8 1/2 Bishop O’Connell (Va.) big man Junior Etou, whom Jordan coached last summer with the DC Assault 17U team.

“Just COMMITTED to Rutgers!!! I’m very excited to be a Scarletknight..and I look forward to playing for Coach Jordan!!” he Tweeted.

Etou is Jordan’s third pledge, following JUCO wing Craig Brown and JUCO point guard D’Von Campbell.

While the basketball world waits for Andrew Wiggins to make an announcement on his college choice, his brother says no decision has yet been made.

“The days are counting down,” Nick Wiggins, Andrew’s older brother and a junior at Wichita State, told SNY.tv. “When he is ready to make his decision he will make it.”

The NCAA late signing period runs through May 15, meaning Andrew Wiggins could sign a Letter of Intent through that date. If he were to make his decision after that date, he could just sign scholarship papers.
