  • Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski will return to coach Team USA in the 2016 Olympics, according to SI.com.

Coach K led the United States to gold medals at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and the 2012 Olympics in London, but initially said he would not coach again.

Now he has reportedly changed his mind.

“I think it’s very close to being resolved,” USA Basketball Chairman Jerry Colangelo told SI.com. “That’s all I can say for sure.”

Twenty-four players, including 16 with previous USA Basketball experience, have accepted invitations to attend the 2013 USA Basketball Men’s U19 World Championship Team Training camp that will be held June 14-19 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

    Here’s the roster:

CHICAGO — This year’s NBA draft class looks especially thin on shooters.

The lack of three-point specialists is Tim Hardway Jr.’s gain.

Hoping to solidify himself as one of the top long-range threats in the draft, Hardaway has showcased his jumper for NBA teams in workouts. Another strong showing in drills at last week’s Chicago Pre-Draft Combine greatly helped his stock.

ESPN’s Chad Ford bumped Hardaway up from No. 34 to No. 27 overall.

“I competed very well,” said Hardaway. “I gave it my all, didn’t take any plays or anything off in the drills. I tried to dominate everything I did. You got one or two chances to make a coach or GM happy, so you want to go out there and put in maximum effort while playing against these guys.”

With the NBA combine and draft lottery officially wrapped up, we can now update our Mock Draft to officially represent the 2013 NBA draft.

Cleveland won the lottery for the second time in three years and is primed to expedite its rebuilding effort with the first, 19th, 30th, and 33rd picks in the draft to go with tons of cap space and plenty of assets to pull off a big deal, including possibly trading center Anderson Varejao.

While in Chicago this past week, there was a lot of buzz on prospects such as Steven Adams, Reggie Bullock, Allen Crabbe, Cody Zeller and Rudy Gobert, among others. With the draft still over a month away, nothing is set in stone.

If you haven’t heard of Brandone Francis, get used to the name.

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound junior combo guard from Jacksonville (Fla.) Arlington Country Day has catapulted himself from a 3-star recruit to a borderline 5-star recruit in the past couple months.

Francis’ coach, Rex Morgan, feels that Francis’ health has been a key to his recent emergence.

“He broke his wrist last year, hurt his knee this year and got sidelined with the flu for a little bit,” Morgan told SNY.tv. “Now he’s gotten healthier, started to knock down shots with more confidence, and now he’s in the best shape of his life.”
