Former Iona and Arizona standout Lamont “Momo” Jones has been invited to the Portland Trail Blazers mini-camp as a practice player, his agent confirmed to SNY.tv Friday.

Jones leaves Sunday and if plays well, there is a chance he and the other practice players could join the team in the Las Vegas summer league.

The 6-foot Harlem native averaged 22.6 points and 3.4 rebounds last season at Iona and won the Haggerty Award as the best player in the New York metropolitan area.
