NEW YORK — Josh Martin was in Harlem Thursday night, putting up a double-double of 13 points and 12 boards as Team Reebok lost to Team EBC, 73-72, in the Reebok Basketball Experience at famed Rucker Park.

After the game, the 6-foot-7 power forward out of Bothell (WA) told SNY.tv he was focusing on four schools: Florida State, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Oklahoma State.

He will take officials to Florida State (Sept. 14), Minnesota (Sept. 20) and Oklahoma State (Sept. 27). (New Jersey guard Wade Baldwin also visits Minnesota  the weekend of Sept. 20.)

“[Pittsburgh] was in recent contact with me, so I’m just right now developing a relationship with them,” Martin said.

“My dad’s going to call them this week and talk to the head coach and see where we go from there.”

As for the others, he likes Florida State because “they’re a defensive-oriented team. You gotta play defense to get on the floor and that’s my forte. And they’re going to help develop me as a perimeter player, more than a post player, which I’m trying to expand my game and become a more complete player.”

On Minnesota and Oklahoma State: “Same thing, man. Basically, the reasons I chose those schools was for all the same reasons. They’re going to develop me as a perimeter player. They’re fast-paced teams  and they have a good morale around the team. Everybody’s a family at each school.”

As for a timeframe on a decision, Martin said: “Hopefully before high school season starts but really whenever it feels right I’m going to make my decision.”
