Eric Carter2Eric Carter is a 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward from Jackson Memorial (N.J.) who runs with the Team Final AAU club. He averaged 14.8 points and 10.9 rebounds last season. Here’s his first entry for ZAGSBLOG.com.

    What’s up, everybody?

It’s Eric Carter. This is my first blog for ZAGSBLOG coming up.

Just letting everyone know what’s been going on since school ended in June.

I finished up school with a 3.5 GPA this year and quickly came a long summer of basketball.

I started with my high school team at Temple Team Camp after I decided not to head to Peach Jam with my AAU team, Team Final. Instead, I went to the Reebok Breakout Challenge followed by Team Camp where my stock rose even more.

I finished up playing at Live in AC and then for Team New Jersey at the Nike TOC in Brooklyn, which was a great experience even though we lost in the finals to team NYC. It was great going out and playing AAU basketball one last time, especially representing the state of N.J.

Now that school’s right around the corner I’ve just been hanging out doing normal things, enjoying the rest of my summer. I’ve been working hard in the weight room and on the court and relaxing with my friends down at the Shore alot.

School starts September 9th and I have three official visits set up to University of Delaware, Towson University and Fairfield University.

I am also considering Monmouth and Drexel.

The Monmouth visit was awesome. I like how it’s close to home and by the beach. I’m a big time beach kid.

Drexel was cool. I liked the city of Philadelphia.

The Fairfield visit was fun. I like the preppy look along with the beach down the road.

And Towson’s new gym blew me away and my best friend goes to school down there.

I plan to commit around my birthday which is Sept. 28th.

Until then I’m just laying low working hard living up these last few days of summer. Follow me on twitter @thelifeofcarter and I’ll catch y’all later!
