Kentucky coach John Calipari — fresh off his first two-hour practice with the 2013-14 version of his team – -will visit Marion (IN) guard James Blackmon Jr. today, according to Jeff Rabjohns of Rivals.

Blackmon Jr. is coming off home visits with North Carolina and Indiana last week.

Since decommitting from Indiana, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard has  visited Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State and Michigan.

Kentucky has a connection in that James Blackmon Sr., the head coach at Marion and James’ father, played at Kentucky in the mid-80s.

Blackmon Jr. averaged 33.4 points last year at Fort Wayne (IN) Bishop Luers.

Kentucky currently has two pledges in 2014 in St. Joe’s-Metuchen 7-footer Karl Towns Jr. and Chicago Marian Heights point guard Tyler Ulis.
