Chicago Curie big man Cliff Alexander will visit Kansas this weekend, his mother confirmed to SNY.tv.

“Yes, he’s going to watch his girlfriend play [on the Kansas women’s basketball team],” Latillia Alexander, Cliff’s mom, told SNY.tv Tuesday.

Alexander also maintains a close relationship with Kansas assistant Jerrance Howard, who offered Alexander a scholarship while Howard was at Illinois.

Reports surfaced Monday that the 6-foot-9 Alexander would choose between local schools DePaul and Illinois , but his mother said that wasn’t the case.

“No, not at all. They don’t know what they’re talking about,” she told SNY.tv Monday

Alexander recently cut Michigan State and then Tweeted he is considering Illinois, DePaul, Kansas and Memphis in “no order.”

As first reported by SNY.tv, Alexander will announce Nov. 15 on ESPNU.
