Satchel Pierce, a 7-foot center from the Kiski (Pa.) School, completed Friday’s whirlwind recruiting day by picking Marquette over Miami and Pittsburgh.

“He’s improved a lot in the last year,” longtime New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski told SNY.tv. “He’s more of a halfcourt center. He’s not that mobile, but he has good hands, good skills.”

Pierce joins shooting guards Ahmed Hill and Sandy Cohen and small forwards Marial Shayok and Malek Harris in Marquette’s 2014 class.
