    Jackson DavisJackson Davis , a 6-foot-8 2014 power forward from Lexington (KY) Lafayette, is piling up the offers.

    Davis went for 32 points and 31 rebounds Friday night in a double-OT loss to Lexington Catholic.

    On Saturday, he picked up offers from Florida State and UCF, his father, told SNY.tv. Johnathon  Davis played at Kentucky from 1987-91

    Jackson, who decommitted from Rice over the weekend, also holds offers from Butler, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Rice, his father said.

    Florida and Alabama are due to watch him this coming week.

    “We’re going to wait until after the state playoffs to take visits,” Johnathon said. “We’re just gathering info right now.”

    FREE THROWS

    There are several big-time visits going on this weekend. Uncommitted 2014 big man Myles Turner of Euless (TX) Trinity is taking an unofficial to Texas A&M. Former 2015 Oklahoma State commit Austin Grandstaff of Rockwall (TXis visiting Oklahoma this weekend and hits Florida next weekend…Villanova assistant Baker Dunleavy will watch 2016 Gill St. Bernard’s guard Tyus Battle today (Saturday) in the Somerset County final…Florida coached Billy Donovan called on 2015 guard Dikembe Dixson and 2016 guard Montrell Dixson of Mingo Central (W.V.) High and said he will be monitoring them…2015 Roselle (N.J.) Catholic guard Isaiah Briscoe attended Friday’s Providence-Seton Hall game…6-4 guard Matt Scott of  Brooklyn High School for Law & Technology committed to Niagara, according to Zach Braziller…Braziller also reports that St. Peter’s offered 6-7 White Plains (N.Y.) High freshman Jordan Tucker on Monday, joining Manhattan, Oklahoma, Providence and Xavier….Nebraska head coach Tim Miles is expected to see uncommitted 2014 St. Anthony point guard Tarin Smith this week.
