Roddy Peters has decided to transfer from Maryland to USF to join new head coach Orlando Antigua. InsideMarylandSports.com was first to report it.
A former top-ranked player in the Class of 2013, the 6-foot-3 Peters struggled in his first year at Maryland, averaging 4.1 points and 2.1 assists per game for the Terrapins.
He will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2014-2015 season. He is the second transfer that Antigua has picked up in addition to Marshall transfer Kareem Canty.
USF is also involved for transferring Missouri point guard Shane Rector of New York.
Maryland has had four players transfer out this season. Along with Peters, big man Shaq Cleare chose Texas and guard Seth Allen picked Virginia Tech, while onetime Oregon State commit Nick Faust is undecided.
