LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Trevon Duval is priming himself to be a superstar.

Averaging 7.5 points on the Nike EYBL circuit as a rising sophomore, including a 20-point performance against the Kentucky Travelers, Duval teamed up with ZAGSBLOG First Team All-Peach Jam Selection Isaiah Briscoe and Second Team Selection T.J. Gibbs Jr, to create a trio that was matched by few. Duval says that learning from older players on a Peach Jam-winning team will get him set for the rest of his career on the circuit.

“It’s a great experience,” Duval told SNY.tv. “Watching the older players on my team, especially Isaiah, I just learn from all of them and I just have get ready for the next two years.”

After the Playaz won Peach Jam, the 6-foot-2 Duval, who’s received offers from Villanova, Rutgers and Seton Hall, made it clear that he felt that a goal of theirs had been accomplished.

“It’s great,” Duval said with a huge smile on his face. “A lot of hard work paid off. It’s really just a great feeling. It feels like my brothers and I grew, and we won the championship together.

After Duval scored 12 points in a 85-83 win over Team Penny in the Finals on Sunday, Briscoe sang the praises of the rising sophomore at St. Benedict’s Prep

“He has so much potential,” Briscoe said. “Like I said, he’s a freshman playing on a big stage like this, he can get his experience early. He’s going to have three years like this in the EYBL. Trevon, he’s a great player.”
