Brandon Sampson, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound shooting guard from Baton Rouge (LA) Madison, will take five official visits and will trip to St. John’s first, he told Andrew Slater of 247 Sports.

Sampson will visit St. John’s, Cal, LSU, UCLA and USC.

His high school coach, Jeff Jones, told SNY.tv that Sampson has not yet cut his list but that they will release a top five later this summer and “St. John’s is in there.”

SNY.tv reported in April that Sampson planned to visit St. John’s, among others.

The Johnnies are also in the final mix for Roselle (N.J.) Catholic guard Isaiah Briscoe.
