I have been writing about Christ the King 2016 guard Rawle Alkins for two years, and now the rest of the country is finally getting a taste of what the explosive New York City guard can do. The 6-foot-5 Alkins just picked up a Kansas offer, confirming the fact that he will be recruited at the highest levels. He also holds offers from Louisville, Indiana, Miami (FL), Minnesota, N.C. State, South Florida, Seton Hall, Villanova, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Louisville, and Providence. Kentucky assistant Barry “Slice” Rohrssen, a New York native, has also reached out to Alkins. Alkins brings to mind a young Lance Stephenson, with one D-1 assistant telling SNY.tv, “I love his ability to score.” Alkins is part of wave of New York and New Jersey guards who have been making headlines on the summer circuit, along with Isaiah Briscoe, Tyus Battle, T.J. Gibbs, Eli Cain, Trevon Duval and Bryce Aiken. In this video interview, he talks with Dan Poneman of Krossover Sports about his game and his summer. Follow Adam Zagoria on Twitter And like ZAGS on Facebook
