  • 2016 Forward Matthew Moyer to Syracuse

    MoyerMatthew Moyer, an athletic 6-foot-8 2016 forward from Gahanna (OH) Lincoln, verbally committed to Syracuse Friday after visiting for the Syracuse Elite Camp.

    “I’m so happy,” Moyer told the Syracuse Post-Standard Friday. “I had a whole lot of options, but Syracuse just felt like the perfect place for me. Their style of play fits me. I have a great relationship with Coach Boeheim and Coach GMac (assistant coach Gerry McNamara). I just felt it was the right place for me.”

    Moyer is Syracuse’s first 2016 commit. HE also had offers from Florida, Ohio State and Xavier, among others.

    Moyer is ranked No. 88 in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.com.
