    After meeting with Kentucky coach John Calipari Sunday night, Cheick Diallo appears to have finished his in-home visits and should be approaching a decision soon although no announcement date has been made public.

    As of this writing, Calipari is the last coach to meet with the 6-foot-9 Diallo, who is also being courted by Kentucky-bound big man and fellow French speaker Skal Labissiere, among others.

    After winning the MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic Friday night on the heels of taking MVP honors at the McDonald’s All-American Game, Diallo also met this weekend with Kansas coach Bill Self and St. John’s coach Chris Mullin.

    10373049Villanova transfer Dylan Ennis will trim his list to three or four schools in the coming week and Duke is among the programs making a run at the veteran guard.

    The 6-foot-2 Ennis is working with a list that now includes Duke, Purdue, Illinois, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia Tech , Baylor and Oregon.

    “Right now we’re at a point where he released his list,” Tony McIntyre, the player’s father, told SNY Monday on The 4 Quarters Podcast.

    Kevin Ollie, who led the UConn Huskies to their fourth NCAA championship in 2014, is being “seriously considered” for the Oklahoma City head coaching job, a source close to the situation told SNY.tv.

    Ollie teamed with Thunder stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma City and remains close with GM Sam Presti. Ollie is considered to be one of the keys to convincing Durant to remain in Oklahoma City after he enters free agency in 2016, the source said.

    MychalMulderMychal Mulder, a 6-4 shooting guard from Vincennes (IN) University, has an offer from Kentucky and will take an official visit to the school this weekend, sources confirmed to SNY.tv.

    The visit could take place Friday or possibly Monday.

    A native of Windsor, Ontario, Mulder averaged 15.7 points and made 46.3 percent of his 3-pointers this past season.

West Orange High School will host the 5th annual event benefitting cancer research on Saturday, May 30th as part of a double-header with the Underclassmen Game and Senior game. The Three-Point Contest and Slam Dunk Contest presented by Gatorade will take place in between. Tip off is at 6 p.m. EST as top sophomores, juniors and seniors take the floor with the hope of raising awareness and funds for cancer research to support Thomas Jefferson University Hospital of Philadelphia and the National Brain Tumor Society. These top prospects will follow in the footsteps of previous MKC alumni Tyler Ennis, Karl Anthony-Towns, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Chris McCullough, Isaiah Whitehead, Romelo Trimble, Cheick Diallo, Isaiah Briscoe and others.

    The Underclassmen game will tip off at 6:15 p.m. following a speech from this year’s guest of honor, Kyle Atkinson, a cancer survivor and former basketball player. The Underclassmen game is comprised of 20 of the top high school sophomores and juniors.

    Following the first game, the Three-Point Contest will take place at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Slam Dunk Contest. Last year’s slam dunk champion, Unique McLean, had his winning dunk appear on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays of the Day.

    Henderson (NV) Findlay Prep point guard Derryck Thornton will meet Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. with Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, Tank Thornton confirmed to SNY.tv.

    Evan Daniels of Scout first reported the meeting.

    With Tyus Jones having declared for the NBA Draft, Duke needs a point guard for next season and is attempting to get Thornton to reclass.

    Tank Thornton, the player’s father, recently told SNY.tv his son is “50-50” on reclassing. Louisville, which already has two point guards, is also attempting to recruit Thornton for 2015-16.
