    J.J. Caldwell, a 6-foot-1 2016 point guard from Cypress (TX) Woods, committed to Texas A&M, sources confirmed to SNY.tv.

    Caldwell is a quick, fast point guard who is always in the paint and is among the best passers in his class.

    He also held an offer from new Texas coach Shaka Smart.

    He is averaging 9.1 points and 6.9 assists per game for the Houston Defenders on the Under Armour circuit.
