nc-state-torin-dorn-charlotte-transferN.C. State landed a commitment on Sunday from Torin Dorn, the Conference USA Freshman of the Year at Charlotte, sources confirmed to SNY.tv.

The news was previously reported by CBSSports.com.

The 6-foot-5 Dorn, who averaged 12.0 points and 3.7 rebounds, chose N.C. State over Miami.

He will sit for the 2015-16 season and then have three years of eligibility remaining.

Dorn was one of five players to leave the program after former NBA player Mark Price became the school’s new coach, replacing Alan Major.
