Former Murray State coach Steve Prohm has been hired as the man to replace Fred Holberg at Iowa State, according to a report from CBSSports.com.
Prohm, 40, has gone 104-29 (.780) in four years at Murray State, including one NCAA and one NIT appearance.
Last year the Racers went 29-6, 16-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference and lost in the NIT quarterfinals.
Holberg recently left Iowa State to coach the Chicago Bulls.
