MITCH-LIGHTFOOT-150708-PROMitch Lightfoot, a 6-foot-7, 200-pound 2016 forward from Gilbert (Ariz.) Christian High  ranked No. 140 in Class of 2016 according to Rivals.com, has set dates for his official visits.

A onetime New Mexico commit, Lightfoot is now considering Kansas, Arizona, Stanford, Utah and St. John’s.

He told SNY.tv he will visit Utah (Sept. 3-5), Kansas (Sept 18-20), St. John’s (Oct. 2-4) and Arizona (Oct. 10). He’s already visited Stanford.

HE recently broke down all five schools for Scout.com:

Arizona: “I love coach (Sean) Miller and how he coaches. He has an up-tempo, in your face style and I fit into that. It’s great location; I lived in Tucson for 12 years so I know a lot about it and have a lot of friends down there.”

Kansas: “I’m from Kansas so I’ve watched them for a long time and was raised with Kansas. All my family from over there are Kansas fans. They have a great program; they’ve won national championships and they develop players.”

St. John’s: “Coach (Chris) Mullin played on the Dream Team and it’s New York. I think they’re the one place that could ‘wow’ me that I didn’t know about before. They play in Madison Square Garden, they have coach Mullin and it’s an awesome fan base.”

Stanford: “You can’t go wrong with their education; that’s their greatest asset. Coach (Johnny) Dawkins played in the NBA and knows how to coach. They have an awesome campus and have two players from Arizona – Dorian Pickens and Michael Humphrey – so it would be cool having people there from my area.”

Utah: “Coach (Larry) Krystkowiak played my position in the NBA so it goes without saying he can get me to the next level and help me become a better player. The facilities out there are amazing; they’re building a new practice facility and it’s awesome.”
