Eric Hester of Oldmar Christian (FL) has committed to the University of Florida.
“I believe Florida is going to get me to the next level,” Hester told HoopSeen.com. “I trust in Coach White and his system. The whole staff made me feel like a family before I even committed.”
OCS Hoops was first to tweet the news.
One of the best point guards in the class of 2016 in the state of Florida, Hester becomes the first commitment for the Gators in the rising senior class. He also considered Virginia Tech, Missouri, South Florida and UCF, according to Scout.com.
He will join KeVaughn Allen in the backcourt for the Gators, which should create a very good defensive one-two combo for new head coach Mike White.
