Brandon Robinson, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County, committed to North Carolina on Monday.
“I feel like coach [Roy] Williams and coach [Hubert] Davis believe in my game and can help me improve and reach my dreams and goals,” Robinson told ESPN.com. “North Carolina has a great basketball tradition, and I want to be a part of something special and take part in continuing that tradition.”
Ranked the No. 10 shooting guard in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.com, he also considered Florida State, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Louisville.
Robinson visited North Carolina a week ago and has also taken official visits to Georgia Tech and Louisville. He cancelled visits to Florida State and Georgia.
He is North Carolina’s second 2016 commit, following 6-10 power forward Tony Bradley of Bartow (FL). They remain involved for point guard Seventh Woods, who visits this weekend, and 6-10 Finnish power forward Lauri Markkanen, who visits next month.
