Mitch Lightfoot, a 6-foot-7, 200-pound 2016 forward from Gilbert (Ariz.) Christian High, took his final official visit to Arizona this weekend and is eyeing a decision in the coming weeks.
“It went really well,” he told SNY.tv. “[I’m] gonna take a week or so to decide where my future lies.” He said he has no specific date in mind.
Asked what he likes about Arizona, Lightfoot added, “There is a huge opportunity for me to come in and play as a freshman at a Final 4 program.”
The NCAA Early Signing period runs Nov. 11-18.
A onetime New Mexico commit, Lightfoot has now visited Arizona, St. John’s, Kansas, Utah and Stanford.
St. John’s recently added Brooklyn Thomas Jefferson guard Shamorie Ponds as its first 2016 commit and is also targeting Hutchinson (KS) College wing Bashir Ahmed , who appears to be down to St. John’s and Cincinnati, and Raleigh (N.C.) Word of God guard Rawle Alkins.
