Calipari to Recruits at Big Blue Madness: ‘Who wants to be next?’
With three potential lottery picks in the 2017 NBA Draft on hand for Big Blue Madness, Kentucky coach John Calipari had a pointed message.
“Who wants to be next?
“This team wants to be next!
“And hopefully some other people in this building.”
Calipari was clearly aiming his comments at the recruits on hand.
That group included Harry Giles (No. 1), De’Aaron Fox (No. 6) and Malik Monk (No. 7), who are projected to go early in 2017 by DraftExpress.com.
Kentucky also hosted 2016 big man commit Sacha Killeya-Jones and 2017 prospects Trae Young, Gary Trent Jr., and Kris Wilkes.
With Skal Labissiere, Jamal Murray and Isaiah Briscoe among those who could go in the 2016 Draft, Calipari is already looking forward to next year, when he expects to reload again.
