CSu1dVGW4AAyEenBam Adebayo Tweeted that he had a “sensational experience” on his official visit to N.C. State this weekend.

He also Retweeted a picture of himself with a fan and an Instagram of himself at the football game, a 56-41 loss to Clemson.

“It was exciting,” Eric Peartree, Adebayo’s mentor, told Scout.com. “I think he had a great time. It was electric, with Clemson in town and just being able for him to interact with the fanbase. Bam’s mom was able to come for the weekend and so overall it was a great experience.

Junior [Smith] was there with his family. I really believe it was like a homecoming for Bam… it was like being back with family again.”

The 6-foot-10 Adebayo has now taken officials to Kentucky and N.C. State and has also visited Auburn unofficially. He is looking at visits to Kansas, Wake Forest and Auburn, but no dates are set.

Kentucky coach John Calipari has met recently with the Adebayo — and his mother — in North Carolina. Calipari has visited Adebayo twice at High Point Christian (N.C.) after offering him towards the end of July.

Still, N.C. State remains a strong possibility at least in part because they already landed a verbal pledge from Smith Jr., a close friend of Adebayo’s who was also on his official this weekend.

“Well, Bam is taking a couple of days off to relax,” Peartree told Scout. “He started practice [on Monday] and in another 10 days he will be playing his first game.

“I’ll say this. Bam is getting his head clear, and we have a surprise in the making.”

Adebayo averaged 14.2 points and 10.6 rebounds for Team Loaded North Carolina on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit this season.
