Rutgers and St. John’s both lost on Wednesday night and both teams are now 0-10 in their respective conferences — the Big Ten and the Big East.

Neither team has won since 2015.

Playing at home, Rutgers lost a triple-overtime thriller to Illinois, 110-101, despite Corey Sanders going off for 39 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds in 51 minutes.

Rutgers (6-17, 0-10 Big Ten) has now dropped 24 straight conference games dating to a win over Wisconsin on Jan. 11, 2015.

“I’m proud of my guys,” Rutgers head coach Eddie Jordan said, according to the Asbury Park Press. “From individual performances, we were magnificent. We said we needed everyone, all of our top seven guys to play at a high level, and we didn’t get that again. For us to get a win in this league, all seven guys have to play at the highest talent level that we have.”

In Cincinnati, St. John’s fell to No. 6 Xavier, 90-83.

St. John’s (7-16, 0-10) hasn’t won since Dec. 13. The Red Storm’s 13-game losing streak matches Delaware for the longest active one in Division I.

“That was a winning performance,” coach Chris Mullin said. “It’s not going to show in the win-loss column, but that’s winning basketball. I’m proud of my team.”
