  • Sabonis, Ulis, Bembry, Bentil, Ferrell, Bryant, Whitehead Move Up on Latest NBA Mock Draft

    Domantas Sabonis, Tyler Ulis, DeAndre’ Bembry, Ben Bentil, Yogi Ferrell, Thomas Bryant and Isaiah Whitehead all moved up on the latest Draft Express Mock Drafts for 2016 and 2017 released Monday.

    The 6-foot-10 Sabonis, who is in the Sweet 16 with Gonzaga, moved up to No. 18 in 2016, while the 5-9 Ulis, whose Kentucky team lost to Indiana in the second round, is now at No. 19. The SEC Player of the Year, Ulis had spent most of the year in the second round.

    The 6-6 Bembry, the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year out of St. Joe’s and St. Patrick’s High School, cracked the first round at No. 30 after spending most of the year in the second round.

    The 6-9 Bentil, a sophomore out of Providence who had been in the 2017 Mock, is no at No. 50 in 2016 after a breakout sophomore campaign.

    The 6-foot Ferrell, whose team beat Kentucky and now plays North Carolina in the Sweet 16, also moved up to No. 54.

    The 6-9 Bryant, who went for 19 points in the win over Kentucky, moved up to No. 9 in 2017.

    The 6-4 Whitehead, who will declare and test the waters this year, entered the Draft Express mock at No. 34 in 2017. Jonathan Givony of Draft Express has Whitehead undrafted in 2016.

    The top 10 in 2016 remained unchanged: No. 1 Brandon Ingram of Duke, No. 2 Ben Simmons of LSU, No. 3 Jaylen Brown of Cal, No. 4 Dragan Bender of Maccabi Tel Aviv, No. 5 Kris Dunn of Providence, No. 6 Jakob Poeltl of Utah, No. 7 Murray, No. 8 Henry Ellenson of Marquette, No. 9 Buddy Hield of Oklahoma and No. 10 Skal Labissiere of Kentucky.

    Five of the Top 10 projected picks are college freshmen.

    As far as schools with multiple players in 2016 it looks like this:

    Maryland – 4

    Kentucky – 3

    Kansas – 3

    Duke – 2

    Cal – 2

    Providence – 2

    Vanderbilt – 2

    Louisville – 2

    Michigan State – 2
