SUWANEE, Ga.- The eye test doesn’t do Chris Lykes justice. Watch him play one game, and your perception will most certainly change.

The 5-foot-7 Lykes averaged 23. 6 points per game this past weekend here at the EYBL stop in Atlanta, which included a 33-point performance in a tough 82-76 loss to CP3.

The Washington D.C. Gonzaga Prep point guard mentioned that he has two official visits scheduled at the moment.

“I’m going to Miami on an official visit June 3-5,” Lykes told SNY.tv after a 67-56 win over Cali Supreme. “Villanova will be June 9-11, that’s an official visit as well.”

With multiple schools showing interest in the lightning quick point guard from the D.C. area, he says that he will be taking visits to all, but hasn’t decided outside of Miami and Nova who will get official visits.

“Villanova, Notre Dame, Miami, Georgetown, NC State, Virginia and Stanford,” Lykes said. “I want to take visits to all of them, but I haven’t decided which of the others will be officials yet.”

With Stanford being the only school on the West Coast that is in the conversation, Lykes says there’s a couple reason’s he’s highly considering The Cardinal.

“It’s a great school,” Lykes said. “With not only basketball and academics as well, you can get the best of both worlds, and that is really appealing to my family. My mom thinks it’s a bit far, but because it’s Stanford, she doesn’t really care too much. For me, location isn’t really a factor.”

Lykes was one of the top players in the DMV this past year, averaging 22 points, 4.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game. He shot 47.3 percent from 3-point range, and was named the WCAC Player of the year.

“I took a lot of leadership skills away from last season,” Lykes said. “My sophomore year, I had Bryant Crawford (now at Wake Forest) to learn from, but last year I played the point guard spot, and I learned a lot from playing that position this year.”
