CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. Zion Williamson has continued to make a name for himself this week at the NBPA Top 100 Camp.

The 6-foot-7 wing from Spartanburg (S.C.) Day School was named co-MVP of the camp (along with Tremont Waters) after averaging 14.6 points per game on 69.3 percent shooting to go with 6.2 rebounds per game.

“Being a young player and winning the MVP, being selected by a professional committee, it is a good feeling,” Williamson told NBC29.com. “UVa has a nice facility, playing in the gym is amazing. Most kids don’t get this opportunity.”

On the recruiting front, Williamson recently picked up offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Seton Hall, Western Kentucky and Georgetown to go with UNLV, Clemson, Virginia, Tennessee, UCLA, Maryland, LSU, South Carolina, UConn, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, NC State, Mississippi State, Miami, Texas A&M, Iowa State, Florida, Georgia and Tulane.

At this point, he feels three schools are making him a priority.

“Georgetown, Virginia, and even though Alabama hasn’t offered, I feel like they’re making me a priority,” he said.

Tony Bennett and UVA have been recruiting Williamson heavily and that’s given him a good feeling.

“Virginia has been really good to me because [Coach Bennett] talked about what I can do on and off the floor,” he said. “Like if basketball doesn’t work out I can still have a future off the floor.”

Kentucky is also involved in his recruitment on some level as they have been talking to Zion’s family and AAU coaches.

“Good program with Coach [John] Calipari but still I’m not looking for that Hollywood style,” he said. “I’m looking whether that programs a fit for me.”
