Josh Hart has withdrawn from the NBA Draft and will return to Villanova for his senior season.

“I enjoyed the process and learned a lot,” Hart said in a statement. “It was definitely worthwhile. I look forward to graduating next year and coming back to play with my teammates.”

The return of Hart means the Wildcats will welcome back a trio of starters from their national championship unit as Hart lines up with classmate Kris Jenkins and guard Jalen Brunson. The Wildcats must replace senior captains Ryan Arcidiacono and Daniel Ochefu but have a number of other key parts of the lineup set to return in Phil Booth, Darryl Reynolds, and Mikal Bridges.

Hart and his Villanova teammates will meet with President Obama on May 31 at the White House and then get to the business of trying to reach another Final Four and possibly repeat as NCAA champions in 2017.

Malik Newman Withdrawing From NBA Draft

Malik Newman is withdrawing from the NBA Draft and plans to return to Mississippi State for his sophomore season, his father told SNY.tv Tuesday night.

“Yeah, he’s going back to school,” Horatio Webster said by phone. “He’s going to pull his name out [Wednesday]. As far I know he’s going back to Mississippi State. He still has a scholarshp at Mississippi State. I hope they didn’t give it away.”

Once projected as high as the No. 4 pick by DraftExpress.com, the 6-foot-3 1/2 Newman is currently slotted at No. 52. He has not hired an agent and had until Wednesday to decide about returning to campus.

Isaiah Briscoe Withdraws from NBA Draft, Will Return to Kentucky

Kentucky freshman guard Isaiah Briscoe has withdrawn from the NBA Draft and will return to campus for his sophomore season.

“I really grew from this experience and I appreciate the opportunity to be evaluated by these NBA teams,” Briscoe said in a statement. “I also want to thank the coaching staff and the fans for their support during this time. The NBA is my ultimate goal, so I’m returning to build on last year. There’s no better place to grow as a player or to win a championship, and I want to do both.”

The 6-foot-3 former Roselle (N.J.) Catholic star was not invited to the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago but worked out for several NBA teams, including San Antonio, the Clippers, the Lakers, Minnesota and Atlanta.

Marcus Lee Withdraws from NBA Draft, Will Transfer From Kentucky

Kentucky announced that junior forward Marcus Lee will remove his name from the 2016 NBA Draft but plans to transfer to complete his collegiate eligibility at another school.

Upon completing his paperwork to withdraw from the draft, Lee will be granted a full release with no restrictions.

“Marcus Lee informed us today that he is pulling his name out of the draft but has decided he is going to transfer to a school out west to be closer to his family,” head coach John Calipari said. “We talked it through together and discussed the team next season, which he said had no bearing on his decision. I also told him he was a semester away from graduating. With that said, he was still adamant that, after the combine experience, a year off and regrouping would be the best thing. As always I support my players and their decisions.”
